The PA 255B Portable Access Device allows for quick and simple fiber inspection and dB loss testing on smartphone, tablet, and PC devices using Wi-Fi data transfer. The PA 255B acts as a Wi-Fi hotspot; any device capable of receiving a wireless signal will be able to connect and begin testing in seconds using ODM™ inSpec software.  The Portable Access Device features a single USB port which allows users to connect their VIS 400 inspection scope or UPM 100 power meter and stream fiber endface images or dB loss readings from those devices. For users who require simultaneous inspection and dB loss tests, the PA 255B can also come equipped with an internal power meter to facilitate testing workflow. ODM™ inSpec software application is available for free on Android, iOS, and Windows devices. The app features automated analysis of HD images, user-selectable dB loss pass/fail results, and a simple interface that walks the user through both the test procedure and the creation of closeout reports. The straightforward design of the application ensures compliance to international standards, including IEC 61300-3-35 and TIA/EIA-568 C.
